hey, I'm Kim
I began my career path as a pilot. I attended CSU and majored in Human Development and Nutrition while attending flight school at the US Air Force Academy. I was just short of getting my commercial license and preparing to interview with the airlines when everything changed.
I woke up one morning in a total panic because I could not visualize myself in the career path I was headed down. I'll never forget that feeling and the conversation I had in my head. I was sad, scared, mad, frustrated, confused, disappointed in myself, afraid to let others down, and honestly sick to my stomach. My gut was trying to tell me something and I had no choice but to listen.
I picked up the phone and called my Dad, a former fighter pilot and airline pilot. My voice cracked as I told him, I'm not going to fly anymore. I'm quitting. In a shocked, but calm voice, he asked "Then what are you going to do with your life?"
I answered, "I have no idea, but a gym just opened across the street so I'll see if I can work at the front desk until I figure out what I want to do with my life."
I was 20+ pounds overweight, had terrible acne, and knew little about working out but I got a job checking people in at the front desk.
I didn't know at the time, but the answer that came out with no prior thought, put me on the path i was meant to be on.

I didn't know what I was doing or where I was heading, but I was good at it, really good, so I kept going. it worked out.
Fast forward 10 years, four prestigious certifications, a national fitness title (Ms. Galaxy), countless magazine covers, articles, and layouts and I was still trying to figure out what I was going to do with my life, but I LOVED my "hobby" with all of my heart and soul.
I was a well known and respected personal trainer and an IFBB Pro Fitness competitor . I had the best athlete contract in the industry with Weider publications. I studied fitness and nutrition full time.
In 2005 I got a call from a casting director looking for a new trainer on a show called "The Biggest Loser". It's a VERY long story, but the day I saw myself on Prime Time NBC I realized, this is my job, I am doing exactly what I was meant to do on this earth.
That was the exact moment it all changed for me. When I started owning my purpose...
Prior to being the trainer alongside Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels on NBC's hit show, The Biggest Loser, I'd tell people "I'm JUST a personal trainer". I had a passion for helping people, it never felt like a "job".
There was one defining moment for me on The Biggest Loser. I walked in and found my team in tears. They were tears of joy as they looked at the medical reports they received from their latest exams. The results were mind-blowing. It was the first time I truly understood the impact on my knowledge.
When I saw the ability I had to save lives, through the power of nutrition and exercise, I realized that my passion and my purpose had joined forces to help people live long healthy lives!!
And now i'm here to help you.
